STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.; Returning to Lorenzo’s Cabaret for his lucky seventh appearance Friday evening is Joe Piscopo, the all-around entertainer perhaps best known for his Saturday Night Live skits, where he played a variety of recurring characters — and his Frank Sinatra impersonations.
In fact, “Ole’ Blue Eyes” himself dubbed Piscopo as “Vice-Chairman of the Board.”
After leaving SNL, Piscopo — who once considered a race for New Jersey governor — appeared in a few successful films such as “Johnny Dangerously”, and starred in multiple episodes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and even had his own HBO comedy special.
Today, he continues to work at an energetic pace, and is still in demand in clubs and casinos throughout the country.
Piscopo is currently the host of the morning drive radio program. “The Joe Piscopo Show” on Salem Media’s flagship station, AM970 THE ANSWER, live from New York City.
Friday evening the multi-talented entertainer will perform along with an eight-piece band in a retro-style live Vegas show, sprinkled with comedic storytelling in between sets.
